Each day throughout Westchester County, citizens of all ages and backgrounds contribute to the well being of our youth. These dedicated Westchester residents carry out their purpose in an unselfish manner and exhibit the true spirit of community service.
The Westchester County Youth Bureau and Youth Board will present the 2008 Rosemarie Siragusa Memorial Youth Service Award to an individual who epitomizes the values of Rosemarie Siragusa. For over 25 years, Rosemarie volunteered as an advocate for youth, particularly in the area of education. She was a founder and Chairman of the Westchester County Youth Board. She was involved in the local, county and state levels of the PTA, and served as the President of the Yonkers Council of PTAs. Rosemarie was also a trustee and officer of the Yonkers Board of Education.
The Rosemarie Siragusa Memorial Youth Service Award honors an outstanding individual who has demonstrated a commitment to serving youth and families. This award recognizes adults, aged 21 and over, who have made major contributions towards the youth of their communities in a volunteer capacity. We are pleased to invite you to nominate someone who you believe embodies the value system and service priorities of caring, knowledge and concern for youth that Rosemarie Siragusa demonstrated throughout her life.
The selected recipient will be honored during a meeting of the Westchester County Youth Board on November 19, 2008.
Wethank you for your assistance in recognizing the importance of contributions made by youth advocates in Westchester County.
