| Comment: | We are an entire neighborhood bordering this property. The neighbors have been gathering together and even formed an organization to increase the volume of our voice. Everyone agrees:A park is good for us, the town and local business. A large complex destroys the character of the town. As people drive down Rte 9, they should get a good impression of Dobbs Ferry. This is their view. Please help us to make our town grow in the beauty and not with short sighted ignorance which destroys our quality of life. Thank you. |

| Comment: | Our village needs help in protecting itself against overdevelopment and poor zoning laws. If we do not protect this land, the facr of our beautiful village will be lost forever. Please help us! |

| Comment: | This "Gateway" needs a park and identity. It has been vacant for Ten years since the closing of Curry Chevrolet. It is an eyesore and needs to be converted to a park, because beautiful residential streets outline the lot and building would greatly affect property values.. Please turn this lot into a place for children and adults to come and enjoy. A place to play and stroll, bordered by trees and flower beds. |

| Comment: | This property is in the gateway to Dobbs Ferry and is critical visually, linking the business district to the residential areas. Since it is on Route 9, many non-Dobbs Ferry people pass by. It also has the potential to be used for passive recreation (senior citizens, children, people walking into town)by a large number of people because of its central location. It has the potential to draw people to the downtown, which is struggling economically. The alternative that is being proposed is a large commercial enterprise that will encroach on residential streets. |

| Comment: | This area needs to be environmentally revitalized after obvious overuse in previous years and complete abandonment in more recent times. In an area that is already overly busy, adding more people and more cars would have a detrimental impact on the families that live nearby. A park or recreation area would revitalize the gateway to one of the most beautiful and historic hudson river towns. |

| Comment: | At one of Westchesters most trafficed intersections on Broadway & Ashford Between Walgrove & Esterwood lies an empty lot waiting to be tunred into a park. It is only feet from where children live yet they propose to build apartments & stores. We do not want such building here in the River town! We want a Gateway! |
