Comment: It would be a misservice to our future generations to let this land get developed. It is a rare opportunity to reclaim land like this for future generations to enjoy.

Comment: Please preserve the Amawalk Reservoir peninsula so that this number of homes do not further damage the water quality in the Amawalk drainage area.

Comment: This property is in close proximity to part of the NYC water system that also serves a number of communities in Westchester. It is adjacent to a trout fishing area. Try to preserve as open space.

Comment: It is critical that this peninsula be approved as open space. Allowing the development plan to go through will prove that the critics of Croton system filtration are right _ the filters are just an excuse too let precious land around the reservoirs be developed for profit, at the expense of the common good of all Westchester residents. The Croton reservoir system is the natural crown jewel of the county.

Comment: Waste materials from 23 McMansions cannot help but negatively impact the water quality of the Amawalk Reservoir

Comment: In addition to preserving an open vista selection of this property will help to ensure the safety of drinking water for several Westchester communities and NYC

Comment: The Amawalk Reservoir Peninsula has to be preserved for the welfare of SOmers and the waterways that it provides for the other towns and cities drinking water. If they build 23 houses on the water banks or near the reservoir, this can contaminate the reservoir and the drinking water. Also, we do not know if they land has or has not have contamiates. This must be investigated
Thank you

Comment: I am requesting that the County consider working with the Town of Somers, the NYC DEP and environmental groups on preserving this peninsula as open space. This area has a fragile ecology that should be preserved rather than bulldozed and destroyed. The County must act in the interests of the Somers residents because our elected officials have taken the position that the developer's interests are paramount.

Thank you.

Comment: Preserving clean water is critical for future generations. The Amawalk Reservoir Peninsula should be kept as open space, if only for this reason.
