| Comment: | What the heck! The city/county already let Stew Leonard pollute the sky with it's lights and silo. They even paved over a cemetary. Why not just plow more of the natural enviornment down into the thruway. 30 years ago it was suggested to turn the hill into a yonkers school system campus. How about it? There is already the infrastructure available. |

| Comment: | Pleses be mindful of the importance of the area actually served by this substation. It is one of Yonkers national security terrorist targets. How can anyone conscience building there? |

| Comment: | Building on the Ridge Hill site will not provide a physical buffer and visual relief to developed areas for "open space criteria". It does not protect unique scenic views of countryside and/or waterfront, but quite the contrary. It does not protect and/or enhance significant fish/wildlife habitats as stated in the above criteria, but causes a dismantling of natural open space. This project will polute the air further, create more traffic which is now too much, and will displace wildlife, create a burden on electricity, water, and sewage. Let's keep the area true "open space" and not allow our present and former officials gain monetary rewards for being in a public office, which would be in violation of their employment in government while receiving monetary gain which they would not be able to have if they were not in public office. |

| Comment: | It is quite the obvious that the politicians of Yonkers could give a hoot less on what we the people want. That 1000 acres of space should remain just as it is. Who the hell do these people think they are that they can just do as they please, regardless of what the citizens of the area involved want and what the surrounding communities say about its effects of them. The people of Yonkers should wake up and put people back in government, NOT POLITICIANS..Stand up and fight for what is RIGHT! |

| Comment: | The Ridge Hill Property is one of the very few open spaces in Yonkers. To develop this property with housing and commercial enterprises and hotel and conference center would only add to the already overburdened and overdeveloped tone of the City of Yonkers. The City Council is pushing through a project by developer forest Ratner, with incredible speed and almost no information to the citizens of Yonkers, saying that it will be good for us. What could be better that open space and a santuary for wildlife. Yonker has not make any improvements to roadways and the traffic is horrific, especially on Tuckahoe Road, which is adjacent to this project. We need more green space, to regenerate the oxygen needed to breathe. I hope that this petition will be taken seriously, or Yonkers will just become a treeless version of New York City. |

| Comment: | This area of land has remained as a barrier for noise and as a crucial barrier to prevent terroism attacks. As you know, the Con Edison Substation on Tuckahoe Road has had explosions and fires over the years. To make any part of this 1000 acre site vulnerable to the public would endanger life in Yonkers. This open space should remain as it is, a protective barrier. |
