| Comment: | I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE 81 ACRES OF RIDGE HILL PROPERTY MAINTAINED AS OPEN SPACE FOR RECREATION AND PURE BEAUTY OF THE EXISTING LAND AND FLORA. WE HAVE TO LITTLE OPEN POSACE LEFT AND ECONMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THIS AREA WOULD BE A DISASTER TO THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOODS AND ALSO TO THE ALREADY OVERLOADED TUCKAHOE ROAD CORRIDOR. WESTCHESTER AND THE CITY OF YONKERS OUGHT TO CONSIDER OPEN SPACE AN ALTERNATIVE TO DEVEOPMENT. HAS ANYONE INVESTIGATED THE FACT THAT PART OF THE AFOREMENTIONED PROPERTY CONTAINS AND INDIAN BURIAL GROUND ON THE SOUTHWESTERN CORNER? WILL THIS BE INVESTIGATED BY KNOWING AUTHORITIES? THIS SHOUL BE LOOKED INTO BEFORE NEW YORK STATE GIVES UP THE LAND TO THE CITY OF YONKERS. |

| Comment: | As a resident of Grassy Sprain Road, I am totally opposed to the developement of this parcel of land. It will not only alter the surrounding communities, it would be an environmental disaster. Trees would be destroyed and animals killed in the process of development. It would create traffic nightmares in the surrounding communities and especially on Tuckahoe Road, which is a mess right now. Does anyone really give a damn about these concerns of the people or is stuffing pockets with greenbacks the only concern? Is this what this country turned into? What happened to the elected officials who actually care about the concerns of the people who put them into office? This project is a detriment to all concerned except the ones involved and profiting from it. |
