Comment: A beautiful and environmentally strategic piece of property for the county to assist in acquiring for open space. I would like to see my county taxes going in that direction.

Comment: It is a key area in Lewisboro's emerging greenway corridor. Without it this corridor will be fragmented. The surrounding community is much "invested" emotionally and financially, having pledged to support its acquisition. Its loss would have some affect on our house which is on the National Register and directly across Mead Street from an entrance to the property.

Comment: Critical to town-wide trailsystem. Four schools, three nature museums, seven nature preserves, town park, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation will all be tied together by the trail that radiates from this parcel. Also ties together a 1,000 acre greenway.

Widespread support. Town has pledged $500,000 toward purchase, idividuals over $700,000 to date.

endangered warblers, wood, spot and box turtles nesting areas, and field
