| Comment: | i as a student at fox lane helped to turn Donald Duck and his crew away from our area, now a junior in college, not a day goes by that i dont stop and think what our area would be like, if that course was built. Thanks everyone, for me and the future inhabitants who rely on that water. Peace. GRANDE |

| Comment: | It is important that Westchester County buy/take over the Trump acreage because 1)County Supervisor Spano is on record as wanting to protect WEstchester's drinking water and 2)The citizens of Mt. Kisco who will be affected by the proposed golf course have no voice in the decision making. |

| Comment: | The area surrounding Byram Lake is one of the most beautiful and interesting undeveloped places in the county. Perhaps more important, it contains Mount Kisco's main supply of drinking water. Development, especially of the proposed golf course, would be both dangerous and wasteful of one of our most important remaining resources. |

| Comment: | Let's hypothetically suppose that a billionaire wanted to store nuclear waste on his 200 acre property next to a reservoir. All he would have to do is figure out which local officials to give a "gift" to. He could figure that out by looking at who takes special tax payments from another billionaire, Nelson Peltz. -and that's obvious: Bedford. This is why the county and state need to protect land around Byram Res. Just look at the violations chopper boy gets away with in Bedford: Digging up the Wallace's (readers digest) grave. threatening to kill someone's horse because it threw him off. "Encouraging" a black man to move. Installing a heliport next to a reservoir-Bedford only stopped the flights. Putting a road through County property. All kinds of structures and secret "escape" tunnels that do not conform to codes. And possibly more. So, if one billionaire can turn over a grave, another can pollute a reservoir with a golf course. That's the name of the tune. Just try asking Bedford to make nelson comply like everyone else. They've been tested and they won't bother. That's discrimination. The more these billionaires attract attention to themselves, the more they must be compensating for a lack of something. -and it ain't money. |

| Comment: | How much do politicians take under the table for allowing public water to be polluted by private developers? |
| Date: | 10/21/2002 1:26:00 PM |
| Comment: | Bedford and North castle have spent so much time considering the destructive proposals of developers, including Trump's golf course, and never spent a bit of time considering ways to expand and enhance the natural, filtering effects of wetlands, forests, and soils. Protecting every bit of the natural watershed is essential, and restoring the numerous areas that are already degraded is a way to enhance the watershed. Stop wasting time and the watershed-stop considering trump's proposal-reject it for the trash it is. It's time to look around the watershed and care for it: restore eroding streamsides, prevent I-684 pollution and septics from contaminating Byram Lake, and be good stewards. Instead of aiming to mitigate the destructive impacts of development upon the watershed, the priority should be to make the watershed as healthy as possible-to make it the cleanest, most ecologically sound watershed. Do Bedford, North Castle, and Westchester have the character to improve the ecology of this watershed, or are they just full of excuses for neglecting the watershed and catering to the private, greedy interests of a few developers? |

| Comment: | I am looking at Mt. Kisco as a potential place to move my family. If this Golf Course is approved it will devastate real estate value when the water becomes undrinkable. Wake up citizens! |

| Comment: | As a recent homebuyer to the Mt. Kisco area, I was extremely concerned over the existing water restrictions, in effect since 1992, and downright alarmed at the proposed development adjacent to the Byram Lake watershed. How can we even entertain a discussion on an issue that has potential to devastate an entire community's sole supply of drinking water? This cannot go forward. |

| Comment: | NY State, where is your backbone? A golf course next to a reservoir is absurb. It is the duty of our elected officials to make prudent use of their powers and reject Trump's golf course, or any other kind of development at Seven Springs. It is hard to believe that someone with Presidential aspirations could be so irresponsible with his private property. Imagine what kind of public servant Trump would make...he could care less about environmental conservation or historical preservation, and demonstrates a total disregard for the welfare of 10,000+ Americans who depend on the neighboring reservoir for clean water. This is NY State's chance to show all greedy developers with similiar plans for golf courses in the Catskills, and near other sources of drinking water, that the elected public officials of NY state run NY, not private interests. NY needs to make it clear that it will not tolerate the abuse of private property at the expense of public health. A golf course, or development of any kind at Seven Springs would render the reservoir useless. It would in effect, cease to work the way reservoirs are intended to work. Reservoirs are not simply oversized puddles which accumulate water whenever it rains. The majority of water collected by a reservoir occurs DAYS after a rainfall event. The water is gradually 'pooled' together through underground channels. Development of any kind would destroy most of the channels, and certainly pollute any that remained. NY State, you have a chance to send a message. I hope you will not succumb to influences of the rich and powerful and carry out the basic principle of government....protect the people. |

| Comment: | How can we tolerate needless development in Westchester? When are we going to realize that our earth is sacred and that it sustains us all? Plans for this golf course submitted by the developer, Donald Trump, call for the application of significant amounts of 19 different pesticides, the destruction of more than 5,000 trees and extensive blasting of rock formations on this 213 acre property. The Seven Springs property borders on Byram Lake Reservoir, the primary source of water for Mount Kisco and many residents of New Castle and Bedford. These idiotic plans of Mr. Trump need to be stopped now. This man is evil. |
| Date: | 12/19/2001 8:37:00 AM |
| Comment: | The State, County and local municipalities should work together in an effort to protect the watershed property surrounding Byram Lake. At the very least, Trump's proposed development should be denied as too risky to Mt. Kisco's drinking water. |

| Comment: | As a Mt.Kisco resident, I am very concerned that if Donald Trump purchases Seven Springs, Byram Lake could be subjected to pollution. This is bad for our village because we have been under water restrictions since 1992.This is not just a Mt.Kisco/Bedford problem, it can affect every town, village, and hamlet from Yorktown, to Katonah, to Armonk. This is a Northern Westchester problem. |

| Comment: | one of the engineers who did a report on Byram lake pointed out that clearing land for a golf course or houses could "at worst" start a landslide into the reservoir. If that were to happen, how much water would the lake be able to hold? Would it be drinkable? Have county geologists checked out the slopes above this lake? Why has this been ignored, and focus polarized exclusively towards pesticide contamination? |

| Comment: | BY PURCHASING SEVEN SPRINGS TO PROTECT IT FROM DEVELOPMENT, WESTCHESTER CO. COULD HELP SAVE BYRAM LAKE FROM DEGRADATION. WHETHER THE GOLF COURSE USES PESTICIDES OR IS ORGANIC, RUNOFF WILL ERODE ENTIRE HILLSIDES, CAUSING THEM TO SLIDE INTO THE LAKE. DEVELOPMENT HAS ALREADY INCREASED EROSION, TURNING THE LAKE BROWN DURING RAINY DAYS. THE WATERSHED IS ALREADY OVER DEVELOPED. IT NEEDS MORE NATURAL AREAS-THE ONLY THING PROVEN SAFE FOR WATER. |

| Comment: | the byram watershed contains wetlands, woods, and natural areas that filter water, stop erosion, protect water quality, and provide recreational opportunities. The entire watershed should be protected from development. the water protection from nature is valued in the tens of millions-development costs much more and destroys these values of the watershed.please protect watersheds |

| Comment: | the wetlands, woods, and natural areas of the byram watershed provide recreational opportunity, natural filtration of water, and water protection. all of the watershed should be protected from development. these values can be measured in the tens of millions-development much less value |
| Date: | 6/29/2001 2:57:00 PM |
| Comment: | The byram watershed is only 800 acres-a relatively small are to protect from development-it's pathetic that towns have not protected it yet |
| Date: | 6/20/2001 4:34:00 PM |
| Comment: | With Merestead, the new county park located just up the road from the lake, and the surrounding nature centers, it would expand the recreational opportunities. |
| Date: | 6/9/2001 10:18:00 AM |
| Comment: | Possible additional pollution of Byram Lake which is essentially the sole water source for an entire community by virtue of development of contiguous properties should be protected against. This is a unique area since it is a water supply and recreation facility and the Village/Town of Mount Kisco has no control over it's possible further contamination. Please note that the citizens of Mt. Kisco have been on water restrictions continuously since 1992. |
