Comment: Village of Mamaroneck, Phillips Park - restore & expand stream buffer entering Mamaroneck Harbor & LI Sound. Reduce asphalt parking lot with a pervious, secondary area. A river trail can connect Harbor Island Park and Columbus Park for recreation.

Comment: The Town of Mamaroneck is situated where two, degraded rivers (Mamaroneck and Sheldrake) drain into Long Island Sound. There is an extrordinary opportunity to restore health and safety this floodplain.
Restore a park or pervious surfaces to the parking lots behind town to slow and filter storm runoff. Secondly, restore the banks of the Sheldrake
where gas stations, auto salvage and wharehouses channel the stream into a polluted torrent.
