Youth Services

Five Community Based organizations providing services to youth ages 14 - 21 are being funded as part of the Workforce Investment Act Youth Services.   These services are for in school and out of school youth.

Basic Skills Remediation
Work Readiness Training
Work Experience
Job Search
Job Placement
Mentoring
Referrals to local agencies for additional services as needed
On-going case management services
Enrichment services such as field trips to colleges, guest speakers, community service projects such as preparing meals for the homeless, working at a local health department

Once a customer exits from the program, they receive 12 month follow up services which includes leadership training, support services and job keeping skills.

The organizations are:  SER of Westchester, Inc. (working primarily with non English speaking customers ) serves both in and out of school youth.
White Plains, Peekskill and Mt. Vernon Youth Bureaus - serving in school youth only
Westchester Community Opportunity Program serving both in and out of school youth in five communities (Peekskill, Ossining, Greenburgh/Elmsford, New Rochelle and Yonkers)
Customers also have access to the services at ALL One Stop Centers
