Gas Prices High But Stable
Gas prices up one cent in 2 weeks, average price $4.453 in county

July 02, 2008

Gas prices remain high but have at least for now stabilized in the county, according to the Consumer Department's latest gasoline price survey done June 30.

The survey of 338 stations in the county found the average price for regular is $4.453 -- one cent higher than 14 days ago. This in contrast to two previous surveys that had shown 14-cent increases every two weeks.

Drivers can save money by checking the survey results. The gas price survey is usually conducted once a month. However, when prices are in a flux, such as they are now, it is done two or more times a month.
