Residential Services

The children’s mental health system makes every effort to facilitate youngsters’ remaining in their own homes and communities.  However, a limited number of residential placements are available for Westchester youngsters with emotional disturbance who must live apart from their families.  These residential programs vary in their approach and degree of supervision.  Generally, the goal is to return children to their families and communities, and work with the family continues throughout the residential placement.
