Case management programs
assure that emotionally disturbed children and their families have access to the
services and supports necessary to help them function in the community.
Case managers in the Children’s Mental Health System endeavor to assist
children with serious emotional difficulties to remain within their own homes,
schools and communities by arranging for an array of services, developing strong
linkages among the systems serving children and families, advocacy efforts and
individualizing service plans to meet the specific needs of children and
families.
