Traffic Safety
Traffic Safety extends to more than just the person behind the wheel. Whether we're in the role of driver, passenager, pedestrian or bicyclist, we should be aware of the traffic safety rules that apply to each instance.

Whether you're an experienced driver or new behind the wheel, you can always become a better driver just by being alert. Remember to always wear your seat belt and be sure you're children are wearing theirs. Don’t drink and drive and teach your teenagers to do the same. As pedestrians, we must be cautious of vehicular traffice and obey crossing signals.

Did you know that Westchester was one of the first communities in the country to have a law banning the use of hand-held cell phones while driving? Use of a cell phone while driving is distracting you from your primarily responsibility behind the wheel - general public traffic safety.
