The county government has many programs designed to keep people safe from criminals. Some of these programs focus on protecting children or seniors; and others on protecting everyone. Here are some of the special programs.
Sign up to get an Amber Alert if a child is abducted. Through this voluntary partnership among law enforcement, broadcasters, and others, the public — in particular motorists — can help in the search for an abducted child.
The Code Adam program helps find lost children and prevent abductions by providing a series of steps that can be taken to effectively search for lost children and help thwart abductions.Westchester uses these protocols in its parks and some other buildings.
