The Westchester County Department of Public Safety participates in the New York State Amber Alert System, which is a voluntary partnership between law enforcement, broadcasters and others to immediately involve the public, especially motorists, in the search for an abducted child.

A new feature of the Amber Alert System allows interested persons to receive e-mail notifications whenever an Amber Alert is issued for an abducted child. 

If your cell phone has text message capabilities, you can receive these e-mail alerts on your cellular phone.  For specific instructions on how to receive e-mail on your cellular telephone, please contact your cellular service provider or visit their website.
