Selection Process
 

To be eligible for the Jandon Scholars program, a student must attend a public high school in Westchester County and be a member of a family with an income below the poverty level.  Selection of Jandon Scholars is made by a committee of seven members including foundation members, accomplished educators and a County representative. 

The selection process generally follows this schedule:

October Application forms are sent out to high school guidance departments and Westchester County families receiving public assistance.
February Deadline for applications.
March Applications are reviewed and 30 finalists are selected for interviews.
April Interviews are completed and 15 winners are selected to receive the Jandon Scholarships.
