Time to Dine

Spring is here and it’s time for Spring 2024 Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. A record number of Westchester eateries are participating in this celebration of the booming culinary scene. Over 78 restaurants from all corners of the County are joining in the fun.

County Executive George Latimer said: “Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is one of those events that makes Westchester a great place to live – and certainly visit. I encourage you to support our local restaurateurs and their staffs by trying a new eatery or revisiting a favorite.”

Director of Westchester County’s Office of Tourism and Film Office Natasha Caputo said: “Spring is such a wonderful time to explore Westchester and experience a delicious meal. We encourage both residents and visitors to make their reservations and get out and dine.”

Catherine Rinaldi, Metro-North Railroad President said: “Dozens of the restaurants participating in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week are within walking distance of Metro-North stations, making it easier than ever to enjoy the best food and drink that the region has to offer. Metro-North’s frequent and reliable service beats sitting in traffic, so make a night of it and leave the driving to us."

The spring kickoff was held at Goosefeather, located in the King Mansion at the Tarrytown House Estate. At Goosefeather, Chef Dale Talde pays tribute to the cuisine of Hong Kong, with a focus on noodles, Cantonese barbecue, and dumplings. Goosefeather was recognized as one of the Top 20 Best New Restaurants in America by Esquire magazine in 2020.

James Beard Award-nominated Chef Dale is the host of Tastemade’s “All Up In My Grill.” He was also a two-time cheftestant and judge on Bravo’s Emmy Award-winning culinary show, “Top Chef.” A familiar face onscreen, Dale has judged “Chopped,” “Knife Fight” and “Beat Bobby Flay.”

Talde, said: “We're thrilled to take part in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week again this year, and we're honored to be hosting the kick-off event at Goosefeather. Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to showcase Westchester’s culinary talent, support local businesses, attract new customers, and encourage diners to explore new cuisines and dining experiences. This year, we’re running menus for both brunch and dinner, and we always feature a sampling of our greatest hits so that anyone who is coming in for the first time can get a true taste of Goosefeather. To us, Restaurant Week programs embody the spirit of community – and that's what we’re all about.”

Mike Martinelli, Today Media’s Hudson Valley Group Publisher said: “Hudson Valley Restaurant Week embodies the vibrant culinary scene in the Hudson Valley. We're thrilled to be holding the Westchester kick-off at Goosefeather, and to have this esteemed restaurant join in the celebration of HVRW. With four different dining options, we’re sure this culinary extravaganza will have something for everyone!”

For two delicious weeks, from April 8 through 21, the Hudson Valley will be celebrating restaurant dining with delicious, creative dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients. Prix-fixe lunches and dinners will be offered at $24.95, $29.95, $39.95 or $44.95. (Price does not include tax, beverages, or gratuity.) Prix-fixe menus may be offered for both dine-in and takeout.
