Because Plan B® was developed specifically with emergencies in mind and because not all pharmacies stock it, it is a good idea to be prepared should one find oneself in the unexpected position of needing it. That can mean purchasing Plan B® before an emergency arises. Plan B® has a long shelf life and can be stored in the medicine cabinet alongside the pain relievers. Check its expiration date before using it.
