MAMARONECK HARBOR BEACHES TO BE REOPENED TOMORROW

The Westchester County Department of Health today announced that the four Mamaroneck Harbor beaches closed on July 11 will reopen tomorrow. The beaches that will be reopened are Harbor Island, Beach Point Club, Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club and Orienta Beach Club. These beaches were closed due to a sewage overflow going directly into the harbor from under U.S. Route 1.

Hudson Park beach in New Rochelle, which was also closed on July 11 due to high coliform levels, will continue to remain closed while sources of contamination are being investigated.
