COUNTY HEALTH
DEPARTMENT CLINIC – BIGGER AND BETTER
White Plains
District Office Grand Opening
The Westchester County Department of Health today announced the grand opening of its newly renovated, White Plains District Office. The clinic, Healthy Beginnings and home care entrance is located at 134 Court Street and the WIC entrance is located at 112 East Post Road. The new state-of-the-art facility was opened on April 8,2004.
“The expanded space and state-of-the-art equipment were purchased through County bonds,” stated County Executive Andy Spano. “I am glad to see that we are able to provide upgraded services to County residents without tapping our already tight budget.”
“The new facility provides expanded, upgraded space for services to patients. Relocating to a much larger space where we can provide multiple clinical services simultaneously, will allow our physicians and nurses to provide more efficient services,” stated Dr. Joshua Lipsman, Commissioner of Health. “The WIC Program now has a separate entrance and waiting area from the other clinics, making the waiting rooms much more manageable and less crowded for clients.”
The White Plains District Office is just up the street from its old location at 85 Court Street, so the move will not pose any transportation issues to the public. Services that are available at the White Plains District Office include:
· Women, Infants and Children (WIC) services
· Tuberculosis (TB) screening and treatment
·
Sexually Transmitted Disease testing, counseling and
treatment MORE
