| The Westchester County
Department of Health has received notification of a spillover of a small quantity of
liquid from the alum sludge lagoon at the Amawalk Water Treatment Plant into an adjacent brook. The spillover occurred during the past 24 hours. Alum is a mineral used to decrease turbidity in water. There is no health impact from this release.
