GROUND SPRAYING CANCELLED FOR TONIGHT, SEPTEMBER 15
Westchester
County today postponed ground spraying plans for tonight, Friday, September 15, in the communities of Briarcliff Manor, Hastings-on-Hudson, Port Chester, Rye Brook and
Yonkers due to anticipated cold weather and windy conditions.
Pesticide application at temperatures below 55 degrees to 60 degrees
Fahrenheit is less effective. The
Health Department is currently assessing conditions to reschedule spraying in
these communities and will announce the make-up date as soon as it has been
determined.
