GROUND SPRAYING CANCELLED FOR TONIGHT, SEPTEMBER 12

Westchester County today postponed all mosquito spraying scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, September 12, due to expected windy conditions.  The spraying in Yonkers, Hastings, Rye Brook, Port Chester and Briarcliff Manor is now scheduled to take place on Friday, September 15, between 11:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.

The Westchester County Department of Health has been notified that a mosquito pool from White Plains has tested positive for West Nile virus. No additional spraying is required as a result of this report.

Residents may call the West Nile Virus Information Line at (914) 637-2420 for the most recent information on West Nile virus, or they can visit the Health Department’s website at www.westchestergov.com/health.
