On April 21, the town supervisor will celebrate Earth Day by leading a hike for residents at Cranberry Lake Preserve.

Below are photos of the Town of North Castle’s walk to celebrate Earth Day at Cranberry Lake Preserve - This year's Earth Day events were held at Cranberry Lake Preserve in North White Plains, the source for most of the stone used to build the Kensico Dam. County Executive Andy Spano, County Legislator Sue Swanson, and I joined Westchestser County Senior Curator Jeff Main, Cranberry Lake Preserve Curator Danniela Ciatto, and our North Caste neighbors for a walk in this magnificent 190 acre nature preserve. Located off Old Orchard Street across Route 22 from the Kensico Reservoir, the Preserve is administered by the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation. The lake takes up 10 acres, and there is also a large pond where many of the pictures on this page were taken.
