Eat Well Play Hard Program

 

The goal of the Eat Well Play Hard Program is to prevent childhood overweight and reduce long-term risks for chronic disease through promotion of specific dietary practices and increased physical activity beginning at age two.  Westchester County Department of Health, Bureau of Community Nutrition Services is working with day care providers, WIC Programs, and  Emergency food providers to:

Increase age appropriate physical activity
Increase intake of vegetables and fruits
Increase intake of low-fat and fat-free dairy foods
