Help in breaking the habit

Smokers quitblog
April 14, 2008

We all know the benefits and reasons to sop smoking, here they are:

*You will live longer and live better.
*Quitting will lower your chance of having a heart attack, stroke, or cancer.
* If you are pregnant, quitting smoking will improve your chance of having a healthy baby.
*The people you live with, especially your children will be healthier.
* You will have extra money to spend on things other than cigarettes.

But, the plain ol' truth is that a person who smokes has to decide themselves that they are going to quit.  Period.  Smokers often need a motivation much bigger than themselves in order to give it up.  Something has to be put in the space that was once reserved just for smoking.

Lets face it, smoking can take over your life.  Most people that smoke only hang around other smokers.  The smell is like your shadow, it follows you. Its on your clothes, house, car, etc.  It is even a part of how you view money.  What smoker doesn't have chump change in his car reserved just for a new pack?  What smoker doesn't panic when his lighter is missing?

Don't let smoking be your life.  Take your life back for your family, friends, and everyone else who loves you.
