doesn't have to take a lot of time or cost a lot of money. 30-minutes of moderate physical activity five days a week is recommended to help keep adults in shape. Walking, biking, hiking, cross- country skiing and swimming and are all activities that can be done right in Westchester County parks. Many of these activities are free of charge. There are more than 17,000 acres in the county's system of 50 parks, offering some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Each weekend throughout the year, a wide range of recreational programs and and sporting events are offered for people of all ages and interests.
