 Westchester County uses MEDCO Health Solution as the
Prescription Drug administrator for POMCO participants.

 Medco Sept 2009 Preferred Prescriptions Member Guide 35 page guide: 
Identifies many, but not all, drugs by the Generic, Formulary, and Non-Formulary categories.
All requests for prescription drug coverage are subject to the provisions of the Westchester County Health Benefit Plan.
Medco Health, Allergy, Medication Questionnaire  2 page questionnaire: Must be completed for each prescription user covered by Medco when sending in the first mail order prescription.

Fax: You may also ask your doctor to fax in your prescription to Medco.  
Your doctor should call 1(888) 327-9791 for faxing instructions.

Medco by Mail: 

Get an order form from the County Benefits Unit (914-995-4715), mail it to Medco, together with a completed Health Questionnaire, to get a 3 month supply of medications via mail delivery.  The form is also available by clicking this link:

With mail order, you avoid having to visit a local retail pharmacy each month, since dispensing covers a three months' supply and fewer refills are required, meaning lower co-pay cost. In addition, electronic refill reminders are available online or through e-mail to assist you  with easy ordering.
Shipping is free within 8 days unless you want rush shipment. 
When ordered by mail, members receive their first prescriptions at home in 7 to 11 days and refills in 9 days or less. Standard shipping is free for members and expedited shipping is available for an additional fee. Refill prescriptions ordered through the Internet or by phone are usually delivered within 3 to 5 days.
