If I am a Westchester County resident and my complaint is not related to Westchester County government employment, where can I file a harassment or discrimination complaint?
An individual who is not a Westchester County government employee may file a harassment or discrimination complaint with the Westchester County Human Rights Commission, 112 East Post Road, 3rd Floor, White Plains, New York 10601 (914)995-7710. In some cases you may be referred to other local human rights agencies to file a complaint. The Westchester County Human Rights Commission office will handle the complaint or make sure you receive timely and confidential assistance.

Who has to take the drug test and how much does it cost?
Only driver applicants, new and renewal, are required to take the drug test. Detailed information on the drug test is given to each applicant after WCTLC staff has accepted the completed application and the required fees. The driver application fee covers the cost of the drug test.

The Westchestser Chapter of the American Red Cross does Lifeguard training and Certification. In addition there are some community based organizations that also do Lifeguard Certification and Training, such as the Yonkers YMCA (See our Directory of Funded Programs on our Web Site for their contact information)

The Volunteer Center of United Way at (914) 948-4452 is a clearinghouse of all volunteer opportunities throughout Westchester. RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) at (914) 948-6069 assist seniors who are interested in finding volunteer opportunities. (RSVP is part of the Volunteer Center of United Way).

Every new applicant for a WCTLC permit must be fingerprinted at County Police Headquarters when WCTLC staff accepts the completed application. The applicant is required to submit a separate money order for the fingerprinting fee in the amount of $50 made payable to DCJS.

A first time applicant must be fingerprinted by WCTLC. The Division of Criminal Justice Services will only send the criminal background information to the agency that does the fingerprints.
