Local scrap tire collection programs are listed alphabetically by town, city and village. The various municipal depots and curbside collection programs are available to the residents of those communities only.
Tire retailers are not required by law to accept scrap tires. As a community service, and to help eliminate mosquito breeding grounds, Mavis Discount Tire will accept tires from residents for a nominal handling fee of $1.00 per tire. If your local municipality does not offer a tire collection program, look for a Mavis nearest you.
It is recommended that residents first call a location for information on hours, directions and drop-off policy. Some towns, cities and villages collect tires at curbside, by appointment. Again, call a location for details.
In addition, residents can bring their used tires to county Household Chemical Clean-up Days.
