to Dispose of PAINT
Throughout Westchester, the recommended method for getting rid of
oil and latex paint is by hardening the paint and putting it out with
the trash. (Only Rye Brook,
White Plains and Yorktown residents are asked to put hardened paint out
on bulk pick-up days.) Paint
can be hardened by air drying it, and adding absorbent material, like
kitty liter, to speed up the process.
A new product on the market called Waste Paint Hardener can harden a gallon of latex
paint in minutes. (Kitty
liter is best to use for hardening oil
based paint.) If you
have latex
paint to dispose, you may want to give Waste
Paint Hardener a try. Below
