Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Program

The County of Westchester, in an effort to reduce the incidence of death due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest suffered by employees, residents, and visitors to Westchester County facilities, has initiated a Countywide Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Program.

The project required the acquisition of  Automated External Defibrillators (AED's) to be distributed to Westchester County facilities and properties. To date, over 100 AED units have been installed amongst 48 facilities, and over 600 County employees have been trained in Community CPR and AED operations.
