A Hurricane Preparedness Message From
County Executive Andy
Spano Hurricanes, snowstorms and more recently a tornado… Whatever the weather event, we want you to be prepared. There are things you can do in advance, ranging from having adequate supplies on hand, a “go bag” if you have to evacuate, and important phone numbers. If the power goes out, make sure to call your local utility company to inform them of the outage. Con Edison's 24-hour hotline is 1-800-75-CONED (752-6633) and NYSEG's hotline is 1-800-572-1131.
I hope you will find this website helpful in advance of any emergency. And remember, if you give us your e-mail and/or cell phone number, we can contact you directly in case of a hurricane or other emergency. Sign up at www.westchestergov.com/cens.
