FIREFIGHTER/STUDENT REGISTRATION POLICY

In an effort to make the student registration more efficient, and to insure its’ integrity, we have revised the procedure. 

   ON-LINE REGISTRATION:  This is the most reliable and preferred method.  On-line registration provides all the necessary information in a concise format.  It also allows for us to respond quickly via e-mail, providing both our departments with a permanent record.  Each department was provided with the password and user id. necessary to utilize this program.  If you need that information again, please call 231-1699 and it will be sent to you. 

2.      FAX -or- MAIL IN REGISTRATION:  If on-line capabilities are not available, this method is to be utilized.  We are providing you with a copy of the registration form.  Feel free to duplicate it as needed.  You can also find it on our website in the “Forms Library”.  Fill this form out completely and forward it to this department as indicated.  The form will be returned to you with the registrant’s status, and a copy retained for the record.

  TELEPHONE REGISTRATION:  This is the least preferred and most unreliable method of student registration.  Unlike options 1 and 2, it does not provide either department with a permanent record of registration.  It is not a secure method.  It is also the most time consuming, and is subject to error and delay.  There are no guarantees with this method.  We strongly urge you to exercise one of the first two options.

  PERMISSION SLIPS:  Every student MUST present a signed permission slip to the instructor at the first session.  We are providing you with a copy of this form, which you can duplicate as needed.  It can also be found on our website in the “Forms Library”.  This is the official permission slip and the only one that will be accepted.
