Center is located on the Grasslands Campus of the Westchester Medical
Center at 4 Dana Road, off Route 9A in Valhalla, New York. |

training related to firefighting, rescue, and hazardous

Classrooms |

The Westchester County Department of
Emergency Services Training Center is equipped with 4 state
of the art classrooms. Classrooms 1 thru 3 can each
accommodate 40 seated students, classroom 4 can accommodate
up to 60 students. All of the classrooms have recently
been renovated, creating an excellent learning atmosphere
suitable to all types of training. Each classroom has
a full computer with internet access, a PowerPoint projector
and drop down screen. Programs can be presented on CD
or DVD format, or instructors may connect their laptops into
the classroom equipment. The classrooms are also
equipped with a full audio system, VCR player and
televisions. Slide projectors and overhead projectors
are also available for use along with a full wall of white
board. The lighting in all classes can be adjusted to
meet the needs of the instructor from dim to full classroom
lighting. Our classrooms are available for use by
public and private agencies. All classroom use is
scheduled in advance by registration with our training

Cafeteria Area |

The Westchester County Department of
Emergency Services Training Center cafeteria area is
conveniently located near the classrooms. The indoor
seating area can accommodate over 40 people. An outdoor
patio with picnic tables is also available (weather
permitting.) Snack machines, and cold drinks are available
along with a refrigerator to store a bag lunch if a visitor
so desires. Also available in the cafeteria area is a
microwave oven, sink, and water cooler. |
