  ADMINISTRATION

The work of the Administrative Services Division occurs in the three main functions: payroll/personnel, financial control, and general administration.

Personnel

Process all forms to hire, promote, pay, adjust payroll, maintain time and attendance, canvas Civil Service lists, and maintain personnel records for 262 full time and 55 part-time/hourly employees to comply with Federal, State and CSEA laws and requirements.

Financial

Monitor and adjust operating, capital, miscellaneous non-recurring repairs and replacement and trust accounts to make payments, clear "bounces", project expenditures and assure budget compliance.

Process all claims, requisitions, purchase orders and payments for County-wide capital projects, DPW operating budget, Department and County-wide service contracts.

Prepare and collect departmental and interdepartmental billings for Courthouse maintenance reimbursement, CHIPS, Services by PW.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE

Develop, implement and update OSHA policies and training regarding Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis, respirator use, and confined spaces.

Provide administrative services such as postage, copy machine, blood drive, United Way, and telephone management.

Prepare and process IMA's with communities for snow and ice control on County roads.
