Mission
Statement: |
CAREERS for People with Disabilities, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to find productive employment for individuals with learning, developmental, psychiatric and/or physical disabilities; provide extensive on-the-job training and outgoing support services; educate employers and the community about the benefits of hiring workers with disabilities; and form effective partnerships with employees, employers and families. Founded in 1987 by parents concerned with the shortage of employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, CAREERS' fundamental goal is to assist its clients in achieving the satisfaction of sustained, gainful employment within their communities.
