CB Richard Ellis
We flew from Shanghai to Hong Kong during the day, then in the
evening went to the offices of one of the leading real estate companies in Asia
(as well as the US). We had an extensive briefing there and met with several
executives, including Rob Blain (the Chairman/CEO of CB Richard Ellis-Asia),
Rick Santos (Managing Director), Steven Sperber (Director) and Joanna Burger
(Portfolio Manager).
They were very helpful in providing perspective on the interests
of Chinese companies in real estate in the US. More important, they also
offered to help us with contacts at companies and Chambers of Commerce
(including IT sections) across Asia, including both China and India. With a thousand people on the ground throughout Asia, this offer is very valuable
to us as we continue to work hard to ensure that Westchester gets its fair
share of the growth in global trade.
