Centers
Westchester's 54 centers are the “downtowns” that create a sense of place and community. There are four types of centers, differentiated by scale. There are changes in designated centers from those listed in Patterns. The County Planning Board finds no need for new centers in Westchester but sees opportunities to add characteristics of centers to other places, developed corridors and shopping centers.
