Here’s how you can help: fill up the “Freedom from Hunger Bag” (or a bag of your own) at any of the county’s food pantries or soup kitchens. The Food Bank for Westchester will also be accepting donations at their Millwood site.
Visit www.foodbankforwestchester.org/services/food_patch_directory.html for a list of hunger relief agencies by municipality.Items should be non-perishable, sealed and not expired. You can donate as many items and as often as you’d like. If you can’t make it to any of the drop-off locations, there’s another great way you can help. | Details: | Lexington Center for Recovery (LCR) will host its 2nd annual fundraiser, Arts & Edibles in Memory of Jonathan D. Pfeffer, on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 2PM – 6PM, starting at 24 Smith Avenue, Mt. Kisco. Jonathan D. Pfeffer was a young friend who was lost too soon. This year’s event will honor his memory.
Two trolleys will wind around the trail, making stops at local restaurants at which attendees may dine on tasty treats. While enjoying the local cuisine, trolley riders can browse and purchase artwork from Hudson Valley artists on display at each location.

The individual golfer fee of $200 includes breakfast, golf, cart, awards reception and BBQ buffet, and the “Centennial” foursome rate is $700.
