Getting and Doing Business
The Office of Economic Development continually strives to ensure that local companies, whether longtime businesses or recent relocations, find a thriving business climate in Westchester.  The office works closely with a broad team of local, county, state and federal agencies, organizations and authorities to provide a wide variety of business assistance programs for companies staying, expanding or relocating in Westchester. The county is pursuing initiatives (such as videoconferences with China, Germany and Italy) to encourage local businesses to expand globally. In 2003, the County Executive traveled to Italy to inaugurate the opening of a "Westchester Desk." E-mail the Italy Desk or visit the America Desk, if you're an Italy-based business and looking for trade opportunities in Westchester.

The Business Council of New York State, Inc. has information on insurance services, government affairs, and more.
The U.S. Commerce Department, operates a regional assistance center in Westchester County. This center works with established small and medium sized businesses to reach their full export market potential. Services include assistance with beginning to export, channels of distribution, information on export markets and specific market data.
Reducing the amount of waste we generate helps protect our environment.  Recycling is just one way of reducing that amount of waste -- reusing is another.  Westchester County offers its surplus items for reuse through Ebay. Check out what’s available.
