Financing and Tax Incentives

The Office of Economic Development moderates the Westchester/Rockland revolving loan fund: an alternative funding vehicle for companies who are not able to borrow via traditional banking entities. Eligible small businesses may borrow up to $30,000.
The New York State Linked Deposit Program is administered by the New York State Department of Banking, the Empire State Development and local lending banks.
The NYBDC is a privately owned financial organization funded by the banks to provide long term financing to help small businesses across the State grow and prosper. It works in partnership with banks to provide term loans, many of which do not meet the more traditional financing requirements
 
Westchester County has two Empire Zones, one located in the City of Mount Vernon, and one located in the City of Yonkers. The Empire Zone program is a program designed to generate job growth in specific regions of the State of New York. The Industrial Development Agency (IDA) offers a wide range of benefits to eligible companies and organizations that show a compelling need for assistance in maintaining or creating jobs. 
Community Capital Resources has become the SBA’s microlender in the county with an initial loan pool of $500,000.  They provide an array of technical assistance programs, including a business plan writing workshop, free QuickBooks training, Web site design, one-on-one financial counseling by certified counselors and financial literacy courses.
