Daisy Yau of the
Westchester County Office for Asian-American Affairs & Business
Development is available to answer
questions and help members of the Asian community. She can provide
information (in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English) on government programs and make
referrals to local organizations.
Yau was appointed by
County Executive Andy Spano to research the needs of both
newly arrived and more established immigrants and help them integrate into
the mainstream.
She works very closely with
schools, local organizations, churches, health centers and governmental
departments to see how they can better work together to serve the
community.
