| Westchester Jewish Community Services is a nonsectarian, not-for-profit agency, serving children,adolescents, and adults of all ages. WJCS is committed to the prevention, reduction, elimination of or adjustment to the disabling conditions associated with mental and physical disorders, social and educational deficits and the aging process and to help individuals adjust to these conditions.<br> WJCS is committed to providing the highest quality services in a compassionate manner, directed toward helping people achieve their maximum level of growth and personal fulfillment. The dignity of all individuals is of primary concern. The inherent importance of the individaul and the family unit is recognized, respected and fostered.<br> WJCS is committed to being responsive to the ever changing needs of the Westchester community by modifying its services and developing new programs. Consequently, the Agency is current with the latest developments in its fields of proactice and accordingly, educates its staff, students, professionals from other human services organizations, and the community at large.<br> WJCS is committed to being fiscally and programmatically responsible in order to operate in an efficient and effective manner to achieve the highest standards of excellence.<br> WJCS receives funding from provate, philanthropic and government sources. As a beneficiary agency of UJA Federation, WJCS is responsive to particular needs of Westchester's Jewish community. All services are available to people who live or work in Westchester, regardless of religion, race, color, creed, ethnicity, age, sex, sexual orientation and financial capability. |
