| Good Counsel is a family for those in need, serving God who is Father of the orphan, defender of the widow, and who gives the lonely a home to live in (Psalm 68). Our Lord’s call to serve the disadvantaged compels us to advocate on behalf of single mothers and their children and to offer love, shelter and the opportunity to grow in self-respect and independence. We invoke the patronage of Mary, the Lady of Good Counsel, to help us to protect mothers in need and to love their children from the moment of conception. | |
| Computer Equipment Needs: | |
| Technology program-- Moms will learn how to use the Internet to search for employment, post their resumes on line and more. These skills will last long after the Moms leave Good Counsel, enabling them to search for employment using modern technology throughout their lives. We need two to three computers and a printer that have Internet capability and CD-Roms to load software. They can all be part of one network to a printer for resumes and the like. |
