Bronx River Parkway Reservation

Butterflies of Ward Pound Ridge

A walker's guide to the Bronx River Parkway Reservation.  The Bronx River Parkway is a scenic roadway connecting Westchester to The Bronx.  

Because a significant portions of Ward Pound Ridge is maintained on a mowing schedule that is highly favorable for butterflies, it is one of the premier butterflying locations in the Northeastern United States.

Lasdon Park

Muscoot Farm

A magnificent 234-acre property consisting of woodlands, open grass meadows and formal gardens, Chinese Friendship Pavilion and the Westchester County Veterans Memorials and Museum. 

A 777-acre early 1900's interpretive farm that is open year-round and offers a full schedule of programs for families, tours, farmyard visits and hayrides for groups.

The Sportsman Center (pdf)

Croton Nature Center & Discovery Trail

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation (pdf)

The Nature Center offers a year-round schedule of  programs. The discovery trail winds around the park enabling visitors to explore plants and wildlife.
