Our
nationally accredited Westchester County Parks Department
is enjoyed by millions of residents and visitors each
year. We have more than 18,000 acres with parks, golf
courses, an amusement park, a farm, camping areas, pools
and beaches, nature preserves, recreational trails and
historic trails. With all that we offer, Westchester is an
outstanding place to visit any time of year.
I
have a long personal history with the Westchester parks,
having spent lots of time in the parks as a child with my
family, and later as a young adult. These parks have
played in shaping my own appreciation for the environment,
greenspace, and the importance of recreation to a healthy
lifestyle. Today, my wife, Brenda, and I visit the parks
regularly, often with our grandchildren.
Spend
a few minutes browsing through this site to learn about
the hundreds of activities and services offered by the
Parks Department. Please take the time to enjoy our
wonderful outdoors. You won’t be disappointed!
Sincerely,
