COUNTY GOLF COURSES TO OPEN FOR 2009 SEASON
E-Z Reserve Applications Accepted

Westchester’s six county-owned golf courses are scheduled to open on Wednesday, March 18, weather and conditions permitting. Golfers should check with their golf course on the day of play to determine if the course is open.

The courses are Dunwoodie in Yonkers (914-231-3490), Hudson Hills in Ossining (914-864-3000), Maple Moor in White Plains (914-995-9200), Mohansic in Yorktown Heights (914-862-5283), Saxon Woods in Scarsdale (914-231-3461) and Sprain Lake in Yonkers (914-231-3481).

Tee time reservations for all golf courses are available starting Wednesday, March 11, at 7 p.m., by calling (914) 995-GOLF (995-4653). Golfers can also reserve tee times on-line for all golf courses by logging on to www.westchestergov.com/parks/golf and clicking on “On-Line Reservations.”

The greens fees for 18 holes with a Westchester County resident park pass are as follows: weekends and holidays, $29; weekdays, $25, seniors and juniors (weekdays only) $18. The greens fees without park pass are as follows: weekends and holidays, $39; weekdays, $35. Twilight, supertwilight and nine-hole discounts are available.

Golf courses will begin accepting applications for E-Z Reserve and assigning tee-times for the 2009 season on Saturday, March 7 (for Saturday and Sunday tee times). Saturday tee times will be sold beginning at 8 a.m. and Sunday tee times will be sold beginning at 12 noon. Remaining tee times can be purchased anytime thereafter.

The E-Z Reserve program, available on weekends, enables golfers with a Westchester County Park Pass to block out a regular starting tee time for a period of 25 weeks. Saturday tee times will start on April 12 and end September 27. Sunday tee times will start on April 13 and end September 28. 

There is an E-Z Reserve fee of $250 per player due when tee times are assigned. Greens fees can be paid at check-in each week. Payment can be made with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard or American Express. E-Z Reserve tee times will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. One tee-time will be allowed per park pass holder.

Substitute players will be allowed on the day of play. Golfers will be responsible for providing a substitute. Fees are non-refundable. Cancellations must be made at least two days in advance via the telephone reservation system. If players fail to show up -- even on inclement weather days when the course is open -- and the tee-time cannot be resold, they will be flagged a “No Show.” They will be charged the amount of the lost greens fees to be paid on the next round. Failure to pay will result in the loss of E-Z Reserve privileges.
