On-site Camp Director
(Salary based on experience + room and
board)
Under
the direct supervision of the Senior Coordinator, recruits, hires,
trains, and supervises staff for the duration of the camp program. Camp
Director will oversee camp operation in compliance with Westchester
County Health Department regulations. EMPLOYMENT PERIOD: As soon as
possible. REQUIRED BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate
will have previous experience working in social work, mental health or
school guidance environment with respect to our camper demographics. An
important function of the Director is developing and implementing
behavior management strategies and the ability to affectively
communicate with our partnership agencies (Departments of Social
Services and Mental Health). Minimum of two years of administration or
supervisory experience in the planning, organization and leadership of
educational programs. Summer program/camp experience desirable. CPR and
First Aid for the professional rescuer preferred. (American Red Cross
or equivalent)
Assistant Camp
Director
Assists the Camp Director, by hiring staff, training and supervising the
staff for the duration of the camp program. CPR and First Aid for the
professional rescuer preferred. (American Red Cross or equivalent)
Programs Coordinator
Designs and implements programs, while tying in the Nature
Education mission of camp to all activities. CPR and First Aid for the
professional rescuer preferred. (American Red Cross or equivalent)
On-site Camp Health
Director(9,000
plus room and board)
Under the direct supervision of the Camp Director, plan, develop,
implement and evaluate the on-site program/camp safety program for both
staff and participants. Registered Nurse. CPR and First Aid for the
professional rescuer. (American Red Cross or equivalent)
Assistant Health
Director(7,000
plus room and board)
Under the direct supervision of the on-site Camp Health
Director, assist in the planning, development, implementation, and
evaluating the on-site program/camp safety program for both staff
and participants.
Aquatics/Waterfront
Director
(Filled)
Under
the direct supervision of the Camp Programs Director, supervises all
waterfront related activities including assessment of camper swimming
skills, swim instruction, free swim, canoe and row boat instruction and
safety, and coordinates with lifeguards at the lakefront. Conduct
periodic 'buddy checks' and maintains an aquatics activity log for the
camp.
CPR and First Aid for the professional rescuer. WSI. Progressive
swimmer. Lifeguarding. (American Red Cross or equivalent)
Resident Program
Specialist
($4,000 + room and board)(Music
Specialist Position Only)
Working closely with the Programs Coordinator, the Program
Specialist will come up with appropriate lesson plans pertaining to
the session they will be teaching. You will need to be able to write
up lesson plans about the program you specialize in, for children
ranging in ages 8-13 for six weeks (seeing every age group twice a
week, or 4 times for our double week session). Groups are separated
by gender and age, ex. 8 yr old girls, 9yr old girls, 8 yr old boys,
9 yr old boys, etc. The only age groups that are combined are the 12
and 13 yr olds. (Specialization in- Music).
Resident Counselor
($2,000 + room and board)

positions filled. Male positions open)
Under the supervision of the
site Camp Director and Assistant Counselor, the resident counselor will
have direct and primary supervision over campers in an overnight camp
setting. Counselor duties include creating a safe, nurturing and quality
outdoor experience, maintaining a functional, close knit unit of
youngsters attending camp.
Lifeguards
(Salary based on experience + room and
board)
Under the supervision of the
Aquatics/Waterfront Director, lifeguards will be responsible for
overseeing all activities at the waterfront, including swimming, and
kayaking. CPR and First Aid for the professional rescuer. Life
guarding/Waterfront certification. (American Red Cross or equivalent).
Nature Education Trip Leaders (Superhero's)
(Filled)
Under the supervision of the Camp Director, our superheroes are
crucial to the success of our program. The applicant will be
engaged in many aspects of the camp experience. Including but
not limited too, assisting all specialists, back-up staffing,
day and overnight trip leading and facilitating off campus
trips. CPR and First Aid certification recommended, experience
teaching environmental education preferred. Applicant must be 25
years of age with a clean driver’s license
