Family
Support Services have been developed to provide support to families and ease the
difficulties and demands involved in caring for an individual with developmental
disabilities. Family Support Services are funded through the Westchester
Family Supports Services Consumer Council as a part of the Hudson Valley Developmental
Disabilities Service Office. These
services include parent training, reimbursement, respite services, crisis
intervention, in-home care, recreation, social supports and substance abuse
services to individuals residing in the community.
